AP73/SM Sidemount Cylinder Band Kit with removable carry handle

The AP Sidemount Cylinder Band Kits feature a solid-grip carry handle which clips between the snap-hooks offering easy cylinder carrying to the boat or dive entry point. Once removed the AP Band kits offer a low profile cylinder harness system.

Features 2 x large stainless steel dog-clip style snap-hooks on the neck strap and camband. The neck strap can be configured short or long.

The camband can be easily loosened and moved up or down the length of the cylinder to achieve the ideal balance point, before or even during the dive, without the risk of losing the rear clip & strap which is an integral part of the camband.

The webbing camband has been a tried and tested staple of AP dive kit for over 30 years. The webbing system grips cylinders as solidly as metal bands but without their tendency to corrode both the band and the cylinder. Unlike other make webbing cambands, we only ever use high quality hydrophobic webbing which does not need re-tightening when wet, offering camband security throughout the dive.

The rear clip & strap and camband assembly can be adjusted to suit either a left or right sidemount cylinder (with the D ring on the outside of the cylinder).

The position of the rear clip & strap can be adjusted around the circumference of the cylinder in order to achieve the ideal location of the clip, cam-buckle and D ring. The strap can also be configured short or long. (see illustrations above)

The prebent stainless 50mm D ring offers a stowage point for accessories such as reels, SMBs, lift-bags etc.

Available in 5 sizes:

AP73/SM/4.5 - fits 4" to 4.5" (102mm to 114mm) diameter cylinders - typically 2 and 3 litre steel or aluminium cylinders

AP73/SM/5.5 - fits 5.5" (140mm) diameter cylinders - typically 5 and 7 litre steel cylinders

AP73/SM/6 - fits 6" (152mm) diameter cylinders - typically aluminium 40s (40 cu.ft. / 7 litres)

AP73/SM/7 - fits 7" (178mm) diameter cylinders - typically 10 litre and 12 litre steel cylinders / 80 cu.ft. aluminiums

AP73/SM/8 - fits 8" (203mm) diameter cylinders - typically 15 litre steel cylinders

The different size kits have different cam curvatures to cater for different cylinder diameters.
